Lena “Pauline” Jones, 73, of Richmond, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City.
Pauline was born April 22, 1940 in Pleasant Hill, to James Sherman and Lena Ernestine (Perdue) Ruddicks.
Pauline was a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith. She had lived in Ray County most of her life.
Survivors include one daughter, Susanne Mathews and fiancé, Michael Phalp of Otterville; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Linda Ruddicks of St. Joseph; and one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Eugene McWilliams of Camden; four grandchildren, Amanda Wilson Jeffers and her husband, Josh, Brandon Wilson, Trevor Mathews and Mason Mathews; and two great-grandchildren, Ryider Hershberger and Kadince Jeffers.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by two sons, Robbie and Jamie who died in infancy; three brothers, James Ruddicks, Wesley Ruddicks and Larry Ruddicks; and one sister, Carol Keele.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cravens Cemetery in Camden. Online condolences may be left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
