Donald Stanley “Donnie” Lana, 75, of Richmond, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Donnie was born Feb. 1, 1938 in Kansas City, Kan. to Stanley and Emma (Reeder) Lana. He married Catherine S. Bryant of Richmond, Feb. 20, 1958; she survives of the home.
Donnie worked at Ford Motor Company as an assembler for 32 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the U.A.W. Union Local #249. He was of the Christian faith. Donnie lived in Richmond most of his life.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Gina Erickson of Richmond; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Duncan McGregor of Orrick, Shirley and Darrell Brewer of Excelsior Springs, and Sandra Teegarden of Excelsior Springs; one grandchild, Brianna Erickson; and three great-grandchildren, Alianna, Breyden and Tristin Erickson.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Lana and Bobby Lana; and two sisters, Mary Lou Moyer and Betty Ann Maiden.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Crossroads Hospice.
Memorial graveside services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
