Wynona E. Maulsby, 81, of Richmond, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Wynona was born July 24, 1932 in Orrick, to George and Beatrice (Proffitt) Elliott. She married Richard Lee Maulsby of Unionville, May 3, 1956; he preceded her in death Aug. 15, 2002.
Wynona worked for Southwestern Bell in Richmond, as an operator for 10 years. She had also worked for Town and Country Animal Clinic in Richmond and the Ray County Library for over 20 years. Wynona was a member of the Richmond First Baptist Church. She had lived in Richmond most of her life.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and April Maulsby of Richmond, and Tom Maulsby of Richmond; three grandchildren, Bradley Maulsby and his wife, Tina, Riley Maulsby and Olivia Maulsby; and one great-grandson, Cooper Maulsby.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wynona was preceded in death by a brother, Elwyn Elliott.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
