William D. “Bill” Masur, 86, of Richmond, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at his home.
Bill was born Jan. 6, 1927 in Rockaway Beach, Queens, N.Y. to Henry and Elizabeth (Henig) Masur. He first married Joan Wirth of Richmondhill, N.Y. Oct. 25, 1953; she preceded him in death Sept. 13, 1973; he later married Bernice Audrey “Bebe” Seaman of Long Island, N.Y. July 20, 1974; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, William H. Masur of Long Branch, N.J.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Henry Frankowski of Toms River, N.J.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Bill was a Union Pressman for 30 years before retiring in 1982. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was of the Christian faith. Bill had lived in Florida before moving to Richmond, in 2002.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
