The Orrick Board of Education got a look at the district’s general performance report – its first under the new MSIP 5, during its monthly meeting Monday night. The report gave the board a better indication of where the district stands as far as accreditation is concerned.
Superintendent Aerin O’Dell was pleased with how the report and the numbers looked, but added there is still room for growth.
We’re pleased with where the district is,” she said. “We have plans in place to continue making progress especially in areas of academic achievement.”
O’Dell gave a powerpoint presentation on the Annual Performance Report, and that was followed by a report from high school principal Scott Archibald and elementary principal Michelle Becker on their respective performance data reports. Once again, O’Dell said the numbers looked good, but the district is always striving to be better.
