Three Lady Spartan golfers finished in the top 10 Thursday as Richmond lapped the field to claim the Chillicothe Invitational title. Richmond shot one of its lowest scores for an 18-hole tournament in a number of years as the Lady Spartans carded a 375 at the Green Hills Golf Course.

Richmond’s total was 16-shots ahead of the runner-up, Kirksville, with Lawson finishing third by shooting a 397.

Becca Westbrook had the low Lady Spartan round for the tournament with a consistent 44-46. Her 90 was good for a tie for fifth place with Chillicothe’s Hannah Leamer. Maddie Probst of Lawson was the medalist for the day with a 75 (38-37), which was 7 shots better than Serena Berrey of Kirksville.

Breann Mathis finished seventh for Richmond with her 92 (41-51), and Makenzi Turley finished in the top 10 when she carded a 95 (48-47) to tie Pembroke Hill’s Shannon Fang for ninth spot.
