Beginning at 5:15 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

At 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Dr. in Richmond.


From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Ray County Memorial Hospital is hosting a book fair in the lobby.

At 11:30 a.m., Richmond Kiwanis meets at the 19th Hole with social time beginning at 11:30 and meeting at noon.

At 4 p.m., the American Legion will host bingo at the Ray County Veterans Building at 312 Clark St., Richmond.

At 7 p.m., The Fourth Tuesday Grief Support Group will meet at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 North Spartan Drive, Richmond.  The group is open to anyone dealing with issues of loss and grief.  For more information call 816-776-2659 or 816-517-9343.


At 9 a.m., Connect with your well deserved VA Benefits.  Hearing problems? Agent oranged? Meetings will be held every Thursday at the Veterans Building on Clark St.  Contact Jim Rippy for more information 816-739-9899.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jewelry & More, fundraising with flair will be at Hometown Pizza.  This is a fundraiser for the 2014 Miss Ray County Scholarship Fund.

At 6 p.m., The Ray County Democratic Committee will meet at the Richmond Housing Authority office, 302 N. Camden, Richmond.  No club meeting will be held this month.


At noon, Rotary meets weekly at Shirkey’s19th Hole.

From 4 to 8 p.m., Orrick Farmers Market at the corner of Bissell and Front streets. Come sell or buy.  No charge to vendors – must follow Health Department rules and regulations.  For questions, call 816-716-9374 or 816-260-1479. A community service of the Orrick Lions Club.

At 7 p.m., Cedar’s Coffeehouse, Excelsior Springs, is hosting a gospel concert.  Itza God Thing will be performing.


From 7 a.m. to noon, Attend the Richmond Farmers Market, located on College Street on the west side of the square.  No fees for vendors. Sponsored by the Richmond Downtown District Committee.

From 9 a.m. to noon,  Richmond Little League football and cheerleader sign ups will be held at Woodson / Dear School at the concession stand.  The divisions this season are 3rd thru 5th grade and 6th & 7th grade.

From 1 to 5 p.m., The Western Missouri Amateur Radio Group is having free training classes for the Technician level Amateur Radio license at Richmond Bargain Town, 718 Wollard Blvd.

From 5 to 7 p.m., Richmond Christian Union Church will host an old fashion ice cream social at 415 E. N. Main St., Richmond.  Donation of $5 per person, proceeds goes to Missions.

From 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., the Stet Volunteer Firemen will hold their annual ice cream supper at the Stet Fire Barn at the junction of highways K and JJ in Stet.  Free will donation.

Meeting times for Richmond AA and Al-Anon are:  Mondays noon and 8 p.m., Tuesdays noon and 8 p.m., Wednesdays at noon, Thursdays at noon, Fridays noon and 8 p.m. (open meetings), Saturdays noon and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m. Open meetings include the first and third Fridays and at 6 p.m. Sunday Big Book Study. Al-Anon meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Both groups meet at 304 W. Franklin St., Richmond.
