A senior construction inspector with Missouri Department of Transportation’s Marshall office said Wednesday that two Richmond bridges would be shut down briefly so expansion material can be replaced.
Inspector Todd Matthews said the bridges are on Wollard Boulevard, just south of Bargain Town and Apple Market, and on Wellington Street, south of the middle school. Both bridges cross Highway 10.
Matthews said the Wollard Bridge would be closed first, beginning on Monday, July 29, and likely remain shut down for two days.
“When it’s complete, they’ll shut the other one down and work on it,” he said. “These closures are minimal. What they’re doing is taking out and replacing some expansion material at the end of the bridge.”
