Wakako S. Brock
Wakako S. Brock, 79, of Lexington, passed away June 23, 2013 at Research Medical Center.
Wakako was born June 30, 1933 to Nobuyoshi Shige and Fugi Tanaka in Kobe, Japan. She married Thomas L. Brock of Lexington, April 25, 1961.
Wakako worked for Dunbrooke Sportswear and Whitaker Cable. She was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, Richmond.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Brock of the home, daughters Shirley Kohly and husband Andrew of Cowgill; Tammy Jenkins of Cameron; grandchildren Taylor Anderson Snyder (Jason) and Malachi Jenkins; great-grand children; Lillian, Arielle and Truman Snyder.
She was proceeded in death by one brother Hiroshi Shige, and three sisters; Shizuko Higashida, Toskiko Shige, and Kiyo Kitano.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Wellington, with burial in the Wellington City Cemetery, with elder Kim Major presiding. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Richmond.
