Adoption fees are $100 for dogs or $80 for cats, which includes spay/neutering, shots, tests and microchipping for dogs.
Information on these pets and others at the shelter is available at http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/MO513.html or at www.humanesocietyofraycounty.org.
The pets pictured here (top to bottom) are Chester, a male, red and white pointer, Born in 2007, he weighs 60 pounds.
Chester is a calm dog who really loves to be petted. When let outside he spends his time lying in the sun. He can not hunt as he in lame in one of his hind legs. He will need to be an outside dog at least for a while, due to being locked up in a shelter kennel, he is no longer housebroken.
Tom, a male, orange short-haired cat, is a year old and the brother of Ebony, the black and white cat. They were a bit cautious when they came to the shelter, but both are very affectionate and loving, and especially like playing with their toys. They’re de-clawed in front and are roommates.
The Humane Society will run a two-cats-for-the-price-of one special for two weekends, July 6-7 and July 13-14.
There are many adorable cats needing a good home, many of which came to the shelter together and share a room.
