Roberta ‘Birdie’ Lucas, 64, of Richmond, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty.
Roberta was born March 1, 1949, to Robert and Frances (Davis) Franklin in Hardin. She married Max Eugene Lucas, Jr., May 8, 1981, in Richmond.
Roberta was a CNA for 25 years and was a member of the Messenger Chapel in Richmond.
Roberta is survived by her mother Frances Franklin, a sister Betty Prichard, a brother Ervin Franklin and wife Cheryl Kay, her son Rick Raw his wife Emiley and their children, Johnathan Raw, Markus Raw, Rick Raw, Jr. and Jessica Myers, her daughter Kelly Schirk and her children Amber Foxworthy, Adam Foxworthy and Kassie Henderson, her daughter Kimberly Proffitt and her husband Mike and their children Tricia Farnsworth and her husband Ryan, and Kayla Schreier, her daughter Tammy Parkison and her husband Harry and their children Cameron Conway, Maelynn Conway, and Max Parkison, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Roberta was preceded in death by her father Robert Franklin, her husband Max Lucas and a great grandson Edward Raw.
Visitation was held Wednesday, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services were Thursday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond, with interment at Crowley Cemetery in Rayville with Leonard Hendricks officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Messenger Chapel, Richmond.
