Orrick FFA presented awards May 8 at its banquet. Advisor Don Honeycutt describes three of them here:
The Star in Agriculture Business winner is Tyler Crow. Tyler’s SAE project includes working for his grandpa’s custom gunworks shop as well as co-owning a firearms video series shipped all over the United States. A few of his job duties have included helping to work the milling machine, welding, learning gunsmithing procedures, filling orders and shipping video orders to distributors nationwide. Tyler has excelled in FFA activities during his first two years.
This year’s Orrick FFA Chapter Star Farmer is Mitchell Martinez. The award’s given annually to a second-year member who’s excelled in three areas of Agriculture Education: FFA, SAE, and Classin the Missouri State Fair, district FFA Fair, Poultry Judging Contest and other events, including representing Orrick nationally in the National FFA band.
This year’s Orrick FFA Chapter Star Greenhand is David Moore. The award’s given annually to a first-year FFA member who’s excelled in the three areas of AG Education: FFA, SAE, and the Classroom. David has represented the chapter at the FFA Creed Speaking event, FFA Knowledge Contest, Poultry Judging Contest and State Convention and has demonstrated many outstanding leadership qualities.
