Lois Estes, 73, of Richmond, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was born Nov. 3, 1939 in Ray County, to Lloyd and Mary Ellen (Toomay) Allen. She married Wilber Dean Estes of Richmond Nov. 8, 1957; he preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2007.
Lois was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul Christian Union Church. She had lived in Richmond most of her life.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Kerry Estes of Kansas City, Mo., Mike and Cindy Estes of Richmond and David Estes of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brittnie Rennison, Brogan Estes, Trent Estes and Rylie Estes; and two great-grandchildren, Emerson Rennison and Ellison Rennison.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
