Floyd Dale Bratton, Jr., 43, of Richmond, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Floyd was born Dec. 21, 1969 in Richmond, to Floyd and Willene C. (Walker) Bratton, Sr., and remained a resident of Richmond, until his death.
Floyd was an assembler for Ideal Industries in Richmond. He attended Richmond High School where he was active in football and basketball. He was also a Boy Scout. He was a member of the St. John’s Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Richmond, where he accepted Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Floyd and Willene Bratton, Sr., of Richmond; one brother and sister-in-law, Patrick S. and Breanna Bratton of Richmond; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Stephanie and David Isom of Fairfield, Calif., Jacqueline Bratton of Liberty, Mimi and Edward Danner of Liberty; two nephews, Marcus Reed and Edward Danner, Jr.; three nieces, Amber Bratton, Mariel Danner and Jessica Long; one great-nephew, Micaiah Reed; and one great-niece, Reese (Bratton) Johnson.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. John’s Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Richmond.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, at 2 p.m. at the St. John’s Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
