Donald Wayne Nail
Donald Wayne Nail, 80, of Orrick, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at North Kansas City Hospice House.
Donald was born Sept. 02, 1932 in Northern Oklahoma the son of Ellis and Maple (Collier) Nail. He was an avid runner in multiple marathons. Donald worked and retired from Lake City Ammunition Plant where he worked for 30 plus years. He received the Masonic 50 year pin. He loved working on his farm, raising cattle and enjoyed his grandchildren.
Masonic Services will be Wednesday, May 15, at 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Graveside memorial services will be Thursday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at the Union Cemetery in Orrick.
Donald is survived by his daughter Joan Lichty, two sons; Steve Nail and David Nail and his wife Christie, two stepsons; Tony McGlothlin and his wife Christie and Darrin McGlothlin and his wife Karen, a brother, Raymond “Todd” Nail and his wife Jeanne, and two sisters; Shirley Ruley and her husband Carl, and Darlene Carrico and her husband Donnie, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael Nail, three brothers, Billy Nail, C. B. Nail, and Dewey Ray Collier, two sisters, Betty Nail and Laqueta McLellon.
