Mary F. Mansur, 95, of Braymer, and formerly of Kansas City, Mo. died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer.
Mary was born Dec. 28, 1917 in Hardin, to David Jackson and Carrie (Dove) Summers. She married George Kenneth Mansur of Regal, Nov. 22, 1938; he preceded her in death Oct. 1, 1990.
Survivors include one son, Richard D. Mansur of Independence; one sister, Wauneta McCorkendale of Hardin; granddaughter, Teresa Barahona Bautista and her husband, Franklin; great-grandson, Jason Dennis and wife, Brandie; great-granddaughter, Amanda Nightingale and her husband, Justin; granddaughter, JoAnna Morris; great-granddaughters, Kristen and Michelle Morris; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Eugene Mansur, a brother, Howard Summers, a sister, Cordelia Pence and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Jo Mansur.
Mary was a 1935 graduate of Central High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rockingham Church of the Brethren. Mary had lived in N.E. Kansas City, Mo. most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, at 10 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be at the New Hope Cemetery north of Hardin.
