Lois Fay Storms, 87, of Independence, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at her home.
Lois was born September 6, 1925 in Hardin, to William and Anna Mae (Rosewarren) Ferguson.
On May 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Storms who survives at the home. She was a member of Colbern Road Restoration Church, she was active in the church women’s clubs at various posts around the world. She was also a Red Cross Volunteer. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, music, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Carolyn Lane and Wilma Eslinger.
In addition to her husband Kenneth she is survived by her daughter, Angela Howard and husband Roy of Blue Springs; son, David Storms and wife Ruth of Independence; sister, June Shirky of Blue Springs; brother, William D. Ferguson and wife Twila of Liberty; seven grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Colbern Road Restoration Church, 9525 Lake Lotawana Road, Gate 2, Lee’s Summit. Funeral services will be 11 am, Friday, April 12, at the church. Burial to follow at Richmond Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice.
