The Richmond Lady Spartans picked up a pair of individual first-place finishes at the Odessa Invitational track meet held Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Spartans ended the day with 145 points to finish third in the eight-team field. The hosts took first place with 177, while Pleasant Hill grabbed second with 153 points.
Oak Grove was in fourth with 85, followed by Wellington-Napoleon with 58.
Mary Beth Bailey took first for Richmond by turning in the top time of 5 minutes, 59 seconds in the 1,600-meter run. Emma Long captured the other first-place showing for the Lady Spartans as she cleared 4-6 in the high jump.
Long also placed second in the 800 with 2:42.07, and Paige O’Doniel picked up another runner-up finish for Richmond with a distance of 89-3 in the discus, and teammate Jenny Simpson was sixth with 67-0.
