The Richmond Lady Spartans recorded a pair of first-place finishes at Friday afternoon’s McCush Invitational track meet held at Boonville High School.
Savannah Hamilton turned in the winning time of 2 minutes, 31.08 seconds in the 800-meter run, while Mary Beth Bailey won the 3,200 with 11:43.56. Bailey was also the runner-up in the 1,600 with 5:43.74, with Chillicothe’s Ali Stephens crossing the line just 3 seconds ahead.
Emma Long placed fifth for Richmond in the 1,600 with a time of 6:08.33, and she had the sixth-place time of 2:43.68 in the 800. Long also had a leap of 4 feet, 2 inches to tie for sixth in the high jump. Paige O’Doniel captured third place in the discus with a distance of 93-4 ½. Odessa’s Jillian Bertz had the winning toss of 108-2. O’Doniel was ninth in the shot put with 27-11 ½.
Mallory Cole cleared 7-0 to take fourth in the pole vault, and was eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 1:08.52. Madison Cole placed eighth in the 200 with 30.4, and Libby Brozovich ran the 100-meter dash in 14.0 to place eighth.
Elizabeth Windsor placed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 29-3.
