Gertrude I. Cook, 93, of Cowgill, passed away Thursday March 7, 2013 at Golden Ages Nursing Home in Braymer.
Gertrude was born Sept. 8, 1919 in Napanee, Neb. to Roy and Alma (Oxford) Terry.
Survivors four daughters and two sons Shirley Smith, Donna Orr, Marilyn Culling, Terry Cook Ronnie Cook, and Wanda Petrie. One sister Lucille Dickerson and Nemours grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Cook, two sons Kenneth Lewayne and Billy Ray Cook, daughter Deanna Springs, two brothers Leroy, and Kenneth Wayne Terry and her twin sister Mary Maples.
Services 1 p.m. Monday March 11, First Baptist Church Polo. Interment Cowgill Cemetery Cowgill. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service Polo. The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice Advantage of Gallatin.
