Emma Lucille Stone, 90, of Polo, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Liberty, Hospital in Liberty.
Lucy was born Jan. 17, 1923 in Lovell, Wyo. to David and Marie (Fink) Holzer. She married Kenneth Stone of Rayville, Oct. 3, 1940. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 2002.
Lucy was a Homemaker. She had worked at Whitaker Cable in Excelsior Springs. She was a member of the “People Who Care Organization” in Polo. She was a member of the Knoxville Community Church. She had lived in the Cowgill and Polo areas most of her life.
Survivors include; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Judith Baker of Polo, Mary and Tony Estes of Petaluma, Calif., Sharon and Jim Burnett of Polo, Marilyn and Jim Clevenger of Braymer. Ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded in death by four brothers, David, who died in infancy, Alexander, John and William Holzer; three sisters, Maria Holzer, who died in infancy, Anna Hutchins, Mary Kuxhaus and one grandson, Jeff Burnett.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Caldwell County Nutrition Center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, at 2 p.m. at the Knoxville Community Church in Knoxville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.
