Hardin-Central’s 2012 senior class made the grade among area metro seniors in ACT scores.
In Ingram’s 2013 Book of Leads and Lists published last month, Hardin-Central ranked seventh among Kansas City, Mo. area public schools with a composite score of 22.3. The magazine annually lists the Top 25 ACT scores for public and private schools in Kansas and Missouri in the Kansas City area.
Hardin-Central wasn’t the only small school that performed well. Lone Jack, with its 38 graduating seniors, ranked ninth with a composite ACT score of 22.2. Two Pettis County schools, La Monte (14 seniors) and Green Ridge (25 seniors) ranked third and fifth respectively.
Among Hardin-Central’s 13 graduating seniors, 76.9 percent took the ACT test. Only three other schools had a higher percentage of seniors tested in the Top 25.
