Sheriff’s Department recovers $20,000 in stolen property

Ray County Sheriff’s Department conducted six search warrants – three in Ray County and three in Caldwell County – recovering more than 300 items of stolen property last week.

Sheriff Garry Bush said the value of the recovered property is more than $20,000, including a stolen vehicle from Lawson. Most of the recouped items were tools; however, according to Chief Deputy Brian Bush.

 The sheriff’s department asks those who are victims of theft to contact them at 816-290-5323 or call their city police department. Chief Deputy Bush said they are attempting to return recovered stolen items back to property owners.
