Ray County jury convicts Carrollton man

A Ray County jury found Charles Logan Politte of Carrollton guilty of forcible rape, assault in the second degree and armed criminal action in a case that stemmed from a June 10, 2011 incident.

Carroll County Prosecutor Cassandra Brown presented evidence over two days in the Eighth Circuit courtroom in Richmond.

After deliberating for around an hour and a half, the jury returned with a guilty verdict on all three counts.

Sentencing for Politte will be 2:30  p.m. March 6.
