Michael Louis Chenier, 50, of Knoxville, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at the Liberty Hospital.
Michael was born Aug. 28, 1962 in Chicago. Ill. to Daniel Louis and Carol Lee (King) Chenier. Michael was united in marriage to Vicki Bolander McCannon of Kansas City, Mo. Sept. 24, 1991: she survives of the home.
Michael worked as an Op-Tech at ATK Lake City Ammunition Plant, for the past seven years. He lived most of his life in the Lawson and Knoxville areas. Michael was a member of the Church of Christ in Richmond and Whitetails Unlimited. He had served his country in the United States Air Force and the Missouri National Guard.
Additional survivors include: his mother Carol Chenier of Warsaw; two sons, Jeremy McCannon and his wife Kristan of Kansas City, Mo. and Zachariah McCannon of Conway, Ark.; one daughter Jami McCannon of Richmond; one brother Christopher Mark Chenier and his wife Karen of Rayville; one sister Antoinette Marie Bullock and her husband Barry of Clinton; three grandchildren Ghavin Luman, Max McCannon and Wyli Thompson; three nephews Caleb and Joshua Bullock, Clinton, and Jonathan Bolander, Napa, Calif.
Michael was preceded in death by his father in 2004.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made tothe American Cancer Society.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date by the family. The Ray County Veterans will provide Military Honors for the service. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond in charge of arrangements.
