The Hardin-Central Lady Bulldogs broke open a somewhat close game in the third quarter with a 29-4 scoring surge to help them on the way to a 68-35 CLAA road win at Breckenridge Tuesday night.
Hardin-Central won its sixth straight conference game to move to 6-2 while also improving to 11-5 overall. The Lady Dawgs held a 16-10 lead after one period and a 31-20 cushion at the half before putting the game away in the third.
Macy Foster scored 9 of her 11 points in the third quarter, while Olivia Ellis and Kasi Arbogast each added 7 points to their total in that same quarter.
Ellis, who was selected to last week’s Wellington-Napoleon Invitational all-tournament team, ended the night with a game-high 19 points, 6 rebounds and a half dozen steals. Foster also had 5 steals for Hardin-Central.
Hannah Noelker was also in double-digit scoring with 11 points and also had 6 steals.
