Franklin Donald Brooks, 54, of Hardin, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at his residence.
Frank was born Feb. 18, 1958 in Fontana, Calif. the son of John Donald and Arlene (Norton) Brooks.
Frank was a well-known local artist, painter and craftsman; his work can be found in many local businesses and homes. Frank attended the Richmond United Methodist Church on a regular basis. He lived in Lexington, and then Hardin, since coming to this area 17 years ago.
Survivors include: one brother Rick and his wife Sally of Pueblo, Colo.; three nephews Tommy, Jason and Joseph Brooks; a great nephew James Brooks and a great niece Kaldrae Brooks
Frank was preceded in death by both parents and his brother Eddie Lee Brooks.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date.
