University of Missouri – Extension and MFA Inc. are working together to conduct a Winter Beef Cattle Producers Meeting which will focus on strategies and programs that cattle producers can implement to add value to their cattle operation.
The meeting will be held on Jan. 29 at the American Legion Hall at 1001 W 22nd St. in Higginsville.
The meeting will begin at 11:30 a. m. with lunch, which is paid for by MFA Inc.
The educational portion of the meeting will begin with Brian Bertelsen, VP of Field Operations for U. S. Premium Beef, presenting a talk titled “Breeding and management strategies to add value to your cattle.”
Then Mike Kasten, program director of the QB Program, will discuss a new program University of Missouri – Extension is working with in his presentation “Quality Beef By The Numbers Putting it all Together.”
Finally, there will be a short discussion by Mike John, Director of MFA Health Track Program, on “MFA Age and Source Verification and VAC 45 Program.”
