Voters in Richmond and Hardin-Central school districts will have numerous choices for school board candidates in the April 2 election. Candidate filings ended 5 p.m. Jan. 15.
Seven candidates are vying for two open Richmond R-XVI Board of Directors seats for three-year terms. They include Tom Williamson, Jeffrey “Tof” McWilliams, Billy Gaines, April Maulsby, Rosita J. Dial, Dr. John E. Scowley and incumbent Chris Minnick. Board member Joey Duncan didn’t seek another term.
The field is nearly as large for Hardin-Central with six competing for two, three-year terms. They are incumbents James Wollard and Kent Wheeler, along with Jane Wyse, Mike McNelly, Linda Craven and Stacy Nolker.
