Crest Ridge rallies past Lady Bearcats

arter to earn a 52-45 I-70 Conference victory at Orrick Tuesday night. The Lady Cougars trailed Orrick 41-36 entering the final 8 minutes and then outscored the home team 16-4 to pick up their second league win in three tries, while also improving to 11-5 overall.

Orrick, now 1-1 in conference and 7-11 overall managed just a pair of free throws and a field goal by Madison Winters in the final period.

“We played really well in the first half,” Orrick Coach Mitch Comstock said. “After the half, Crest Ridge cranked up the defensive pressure and we struggled on offense.”
