An early Monday morning fire destroyed two buildings on the north side of Carrollton square.
The fire was discovered about 3 a.m. and appears to have originated from the upstairs of House of My Father, a thrift shop, and spread into Carroll County Title Company, Carrollton Fire Chief Curtis Shields told reporters. Eight fire companies – North Central, Chillicothe, Marshall and Norborne among them – responded to the fire.
Curtis said the loss north of the county courthouse would be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The cause is still under investigation. There were no reports of injuries.
