A strong second half by Meadville turned a 2-point halftime lead into a 45-33 CLAA victory over the visiting Hardin-Central Lady Bulldogs Friday night.
Meadville held an 8-5 lead after one period and Hardin-Central cut the deficit to 16-14 by the intermission. However, the Eagles held a 13-6 scoring advantage in the third quarter and then outscored the Lady Dawgs 16-13 in the fourth quarter by hitting 10 of 15 free throws.
Olivia Ellis paced Hardin-Central, now 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the league, with a game-high 25 points.
