Meadville hit 13 3-pointers Friday night, while the Hardin-Central Bulldogs were held without a long-range bucket as the Eagles grabbed a 69-50 CLAA victory.
Derek Smith connected on five buckets outside the arc on his way to scoring a game-high 26 points, with Cade Shiflett hitting four 3-pointers to help him to an 18-point effort.
The Bulldogs, now 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the CLAA, had balanced scoring up and down the lineup.
Lane Coldiron hit for a team-high 10 points, followed by Zak Finley with 8, Cole Leakey and Colton Layman with 7 apiece. Wyatt Craven had 6 points for the Dawgs with Clif Kugler scoring 3, Hank Bowers, Daniel White, Josh Smith and Leonard Chilcutt added with 2 each.
Meadville knocked down seven 3-pointers in the opening period to help the Eagles race out to a 29-8 lead.
