Hardin-Central outscored visiting Northwest of Mendon 34-16 in the second half Thursday night to help the Lady Dawgs get back to .500 in the CLAA with a 60-32 victory.
The Lady Bulldogs held the Eagles to just a pair of field goals in the final 8 minutes as Hardin-Central improved to 2-2 in the league and 5-3 overall.
Alex Paul paced the Hardin-Central scoring with 18 points – 10 of those coming in the third quarter as the Lady Dawgs began to pull away with a 17-14 scoring advantage.
Olivia Ellis added 17 points as she hit 5 of her 6 free throw attempts in the third frame.
