The Bulldogs had little trouble in winning their second consecutive Hardin-Central Tournament championship, chalking up their third-straight victory Friday night by coasting past Norborne 68-25 in the title game. Hardin-Central won its previous two tournament games by 73 and 74 points.
The Bulldogs reached double-digit scoring Friday night with Mitchell White posting a game-high 16 points, Cole Leakey adding 14, and Clif Kugler chipping in 10 more. White made 6 of his 11 field goal attempts, including 4 of 7 3-point attempts.
Leakey just missed recording a double-double as he also pulled down 9 rebounds. Kugler grabbed 8 caroms with a pair of blocked shots.
Hardin-Central held a huge edge on the boards as the Dawgs grabbed 47 rebounds, with 20 of those coming on the offensive glass. Norborne had 19 rebounds – only 4 on offense.
