Two Richmond juniors have been selected for the Missouri Football Coaches Association All-State team. Wide receiver Lendarrius Pritchett and lineman Brock Bowers were named to the Class 3 third-team offense.
Despite missing the first four weeks of the season with a broken finger, Pritchett finished with 20 receptions for 529 yards and 6 touchdowns during the Spartans’ 5-5 campaign. His best game was a 4-reception, 144-yard night against Carrollton where he had one touchdown. Pritchett also had 4 catches for 142 yards and 3 touchdowns against Knob Noster.
Bowers, a 6-1, 220-pound tackle, helped the Spartans average 5.5 yards a carry and 204 yards rushing a game this season. Richmond scored 30 rushing touchdowns this fall.
Class 3 champion Maryville dominated the selections with three first-team offensive and four first-team defensive picks. The Spoofhounds also had two second-team selections. Lineman Caleb Mather, a 6-2, 265-pound senior was named the Class 3 Defensive Player of the Year, and his coach, Matt Webb was tabbed Coach of the Year.
