Ralph Kinder Davis, 89, of Richmond, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Ralph was born May 22, 1923 in Richmond to Frank and Bessie (Kinder) Davis. He married Emma Jean Harris of Salisbury, in 1947; she survives of the home.
Ralph was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He fought in the D-Day Invasion and Battle of the Bulge. Ralph worked for Kroger many years and took an early retirement.
Additional survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Glenda Davis of Independence, and Rick and Robin Davis of Richmond; six grandchildren, Becky Jarrett, Alyssa Davis, Wendy Post, Ron Davis, Dollie Davis and Corbia Davis; five great-grandchildren, Kara Jarrett, Veronica Davis, Emily Davis, Madison Post and Austin Post.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Marvin Davis, Bob Davis and Frank Davis.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ray County Veterans.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
