Richmond’s independent grocery store is in the process of being sold.
Bob MacDonald, Richmond Apple Market co-owner, said a deal is underway to sell the store that has been in the Richmond Hills Shopping Center since 1980.
“The (selling) process takes longer than anticipated,” he said. “We hope to get that done and restore the store as soon as possible.”
Some departments, like produce and meat, are fairly well stocked; however, aisles for packaged and
canned food, and paper products are thin.
“We apologize for the condition of the shelves,” MacDonald said, “and hope to rectify this soon.”
