Kenneth (Kenny) L. Howell, 56, of Norborne, passed away at 3:08 a.m., Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at his home in Norborne.
Mr. Howell was a long time resident of Richmond, before moving to Norborne in 1999. He was born July 9, 1956 to the late J.B. and Francis Howell who preceded him in death.
Mr. Howell worked as a mechanic for Swafford’s Ford Sales in Richmond for 31 years. He was forced into early retirement in December 2011 after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
Mr. Howell was survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Linda Howell of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Linda Shelton of Richmond; one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Tim Chamberlain of Carrollton; two sons and future daughter-in-law, Jeremie Howell and Ashley Hart of Carrollton and David Howell and Amanda Elliot of Hamilton, Ohio; His adopted son who he raised for 12 years, Chad Perkins and his fiancé, Samantha Davison of Lee’s Summit; he also leaves behind five grandchildren, Jacob and Calob Howell of Richmond, Jeremy, Skylar and Austin Walker of Carrollton; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. The family would like to give special recognitions to his nephews, Jason Sharp and his wife, Angela of Carrollton.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kenneth Howell memorial fund.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 8, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.
