Chances are that the Hardin-Central Lady Bulldogs might find a much tougher test Friday night when they go for their own tournament championship.
Coach Ken Layman’s Lady Dawgs, now 3-0 for the season, rolled through their first two home games this week. Hardin-Central opened the week with a 91-4 thumping of Malta Bend, and followed that up with a 57-17 victory over Breckenridge Wednesday night.
Hardin-Central hit 44 of its 100 shots Monday in the win over the Lady Tigers, with four players reaching double digits. Olivia Ellis hit for a game-high 20, with Kasi Arbogast and Maria Powell each scoring 14 points, and Alexandria Paul added 12. Maddi Demint, Mary Penny and Shona Hall chipped in 6 apiece, followed by Macy Foster with 5, and Hannah Noelker and Johnna Gifillan with 4 each.
