Linnes Josephine Love, 83, of Lexington, and formerly of Richmond and Liberty, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at her home in Lexington.
Linnes was born on Feb. 26, 1929 in Camden,,to Charlie and Jessie (Greer) Rogers. She married Crate J. Love of Camden, May 10, 1947; he survives of the home.
Linnes was a secretary for Alder-Kirk Insurance Agency in Richmond for over 15 years. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church. She was also a Charter Member of the 1944 N.A.R.F.E.
Additional survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and Alton Westerman, Jr. of Lexington and Kathy and Duane Cooper of Henderson, NV; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, Linnes was preceded in death by two brothers, Noel Clifton Rogers and Ronald Rogers who died in infancy; and three sisters, Alberta Wrisinger, Billie Becker and Yvonne Wholf.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Donor’s Choice.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
