Sophomore quarterback Rhyler Estenbaum ran for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns on 16 carries to help move the Hardin-Central Bulldogs into the next round of the District 4, 8-man playoffs. The Dawgs had the offense in high gear Friday night as they pasted Lincoln 72-28 at Lee Meador Field and moved on to a rematch at Northwest of Hughesville this Friday.

In addition to his legs, Estenbaum completed half of his 8 passes for 62 yards and another touchdown as Hardin-Central improved to 7-3.

Hank Bowers got the things started on the first drive of the night as he scored the first of his two touchdowns on a 21-yard scamper. Bowers ended the contest with 95 yards on 13 carries as the Bulldogs piled up 505 yards on the ground. Cody McNelly pushed the lead to 12-0 with an 11-yard run late in the first quarter.

Estenbaum hit Matt Hymiller for a 49-yard scoring pass and then connected with Bowers for the conversion as the lead grew to 20-0 early in the second period. Hymiller, who had 2 receptions for 56 yards, also led the Hardin-Central tackle chart with 21 stops. Evan Griggs, who picked up 45 yards on 3 carries, added to the Bulldog lead with a 37-yard run on the next possession.
