Robert “Bob” Allen Hall, 69, of Richmond, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at North Care Hospice House, North Kansas City from a brief battle with a rare blood disease.
Robert was born on Jan. 26, 1943 in Richmond, to Lewi (Virgil) Sr. and Elizabeth Melinda (Herod) Hall.
Robert was a 1961 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. He was co-owner and operator of Hall Brothers Construction in Richmond from 1972 to 2006. He was currently working for Direct Transit formerly Ray County Transportation in Richmond as head of maintenance and driver. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of Vietnam where he had a top secret clearance working in logistics. He received the Certificate of Good Conduct for his service to his country. He was a member of the Excelsior Springs V.F.W.
Survivors include; one son Bill Hall of Excelsior Springs, one daughter Tina Howe and her husband Michael of Lawson, two sisters Mary King and her husband Fair Dean of Kingston, Okla. and Francis Marquis of Yakama, Wash.; three grandchildren Robert Howe, Alex Howe and Summer Howe; sister-in-law Barbara Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Junior Hall and Tommy Hall, and one sister Martha Allred.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond; Burial will follow services with full military honors provided by the Ray County Veterans.
