Donna D. Hughes, 79, of Maryville, and formerly of the Henrietta and Richmond areas, died at 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 at her home.
Donna was born on May 9, 1933 in Henrietta, to James E. and Darlene (Harrison) Smith. She married Gilbert M. Hughes of Lexington, on June 20, 1970. He survives of the home.
Donna was a homemaker. She was a member of the Henrietta Baptist Church. She lived in the Henrietta and Richmond areas most of her Life, before moving to Maryville, two years ago.
Additional survivors include; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Laurie Rogers of Richmond, Steve and Teresa Rogers of Richmond, one daughter and son-in-law, Lura and C. E. Goodall of Maryville, two brothers, Duane Smith of Sheridan, WY, Jimmy Smith and his wife, Shirley of Richmond, four grandchildren, Nicole Rogers, Derek Goodall, Damon Goodall, Dalane Goodall, three great-grandchildren, Olivia Rogers, Nicholas Rogers and Mia Rogers.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by one sister, Lura Lee Harshner and one granddaughter, Dana Michelle Rogers.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to SSM Hospice at 1912 S. Main Street in Maryville, Mo. 64668.
As to Donna’s request, there will be a private family graveside service in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
