SATURDAY,  AUGUST 18

From 7 a.m. to noon, Come join us for at the Richmond Farmers Market, located on College St. on the west side of the Square.  Come share a good time and good food.  No Fees for Vendors. Sponsored by the Richmond Downtown District Committee.

 

From 10 a.m. to evening, Praise in the Park will be held at Maurice Roberts Park in Richmond.  Christian concert with local musicians, kids activities, adult games. Food available for purchase, vendors welcome. For more information, contact Lisa Williams 816-405-3361.

SUNDAY,  AUGUST 19

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Wall Reunion will be held at the Ray County Library Community Room.  Bring a basket of food to be shared along with photos you would like to share.  Table service, tea and lemonade will be furnished.  Donations will be taken to help with the rental cost of the room.

 

MONDAY, AUGUST 20

Beginning at 5:15 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

 

From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., T.O.P.S. meets every Monday at the Richmond United Christian Presbyterian Church at 501 N. Spartan.

 

TUESDAY, AUGUST 21

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., a free Empower Kidney Disease Class will be offered at North Kansas City Hospital. Classes will teach participants how to take control of kidney disease and make healthy choices. For more information or to register for classes call 816-842-0076.

At 2 p.m., Barbara Hughes, a living historian will present a program on the border warfare between Kansas and Missouri outside of the Anderson House, in Lexington.  In case of rain the event will be held inside the visitor center.  This program is part of the Lexington Community Fair which runs Aug. 20 thru 25.  For more information contact the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site 660-259-4654.

 

At 7 p.m., the Ray County Democrat’s Club will meet at the Richmond Housing Authority, 302 N. Camden Street.
