SATURDAY, MARCH 10

  • From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Richmond Kiwanis Club will have its annual chili & soup dinner at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Drive. $5 donation includes entree, drink and dessert.  Richmond businesses may call for delivery at 816-405-0824 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; deliveries  will be made between 11 to noon.
  • At 1 p.m., Ray County Genealogical Association will meet at the Ray County Museum.  In honor of “Women’s History Month,” those attending are invited to share a story about a female ancestor.  The public is invited.
  • At 6:30 p.m., the Country Hoedown will be held at the Legion Hall in Holt. Come play, sing or listen. Bring snacks to share. Coffee, soft drinks and tea are provided. Donations benefit the Legion to aid in community projects. For more information, call 816-637-2053.
  • At 7 p.m., doors open for the performance of The Rainmakers at the Farris Theatre. The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $10 each.

SUNDAY, MARCH 11

  • From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Richmond Rattlers will host a spaghetti luncheon at the United Methodist Church, 212 N. Main St., Richmond.  Tickets are $6 and $4 for ages 5 and under.  Carryout and to-go available; call 816-510-9170 before 5 p.m. on March 9.

MONDAY, MARCH 12

  • Beginning at 5:15 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

TUESDAY, MARCH 13

  • At 1:30 p.m., The Allen-Morton-Watkins Chapter, NSDAR, will meet at the Richmond United Methodist Church to honor the “Good Citizens” from the senior class of each of the five county high schools.  Bonnie McCalley and JoEllen Dale will be the hostesses.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14

  • From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Richmond Christian Union Church will host a ham and beans dinner at 415 E. N. Main, Richmond.  Ham and beans, cornbread, drink and dessert are provided for a $5 donation.  Provided by G.I.F.T. (Gals in Fellowship Together).
  • Beginning at 4 p.m., the Polo Masonic Lodge will host a fish fry, with salads and desserts provided by the Eastern Star.  Free will donation.

  • From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Orrick Lion’s Club will host a corn beef & cabbage luncheon.  Free will donation with donations going towards the tee ball field renovations.

  • Beginning at 9:30 a.m., The Way We Worked, the newest Smithsonian Institution exhibit, will be on display at Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and State Historic Site, located at 26600 Park Road North near Lawson. During March, the visitor center and museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. During April, the visitor center and museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Meeting times for Richmond AA and Al-Anon are:  Mondays noon and 8 p.m., Tuesdays noon and 8 p.m., Wednesdays at noon, Thursdays at noon, Fridays noon and 8 p.m. (open meetings), Saturdays noon and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m. Open meetings include the first and third Fridays and a 6 p.m. Sunday Big Book Study. Al-Anon meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Both groups meet at 304 W. Franklin, Richmond.
