Eight-time world heavyweight champion Harley Race returns to the Richmond City Hall community center Friday as the headline performer in a deep card of World League Wrestling matches.
The event is a fundraiser for First Baptist Church missionary groups and for Richmond-area Cub Scouts, who will sell concessions.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first match starting at 7.
Featured event is the WLW Heavyweight Championship Rematch pairing reigning heavyweight champ Jason “The Prince” Jones and challenger Brian Breaker, a former champion.
Richmond resident and city councilman Rob Kinnard will serve as Breaker’s guest manager.
Also on the bill is the WLW Women’s Championship title match between Lucy Mendez, the defending women’s champ, and Stacey “Boston Brawler” O’Brien. “Strong and Reckless,” the WLW’s current tag-team champs, will make its first title defense on Friday.
Also wrestling on Friday will be Mark Sterling, “The Well-Mustachioed Gotch Stylist” Ryan Drago and Dustin Bozworth.
Advance tickets are $15 for the Golden Circle and $10 for general admission. The same tickets the night of the event will cost $17 and $12, respectively.
Tickets are available at city hall, Richmond Apple Market, Academy Bank inside Walmart and by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
