MONDAY, JANUARY 16
Beginning at 5:15 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 17
From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., a free Empower Kidney Disease Class will be offered at North Kansas City Hospital. Classes will teach participants how to take control of kidney disease and make healthy choices. For more information or to register for classes call 816-842-0076.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18
From 5 to 6 p.m., The Hardin Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry will have Pick-up for pre-registered Hardin School District Families at the Hardin United Methodist Church. For information, call Pastor Renae Watt 660-398-4532.

From 5:30 to 7 p.m., Fleming Baptist Church will hold its food pantry at the church.  Open to residents of Richmond, Fleming, Orrick, Henrietta and Camden.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 21
From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., the John W. Carter Lodge #180 will hold an all-you-can-eat Pancake Day.  $5 donation at the door, lodge is located at 109 N. Thornton St., Richmond.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., United Christian Presbyterian Church will hold a Chili and Soup luncheon.

From 7 to 10 p.m., the Country Shindig will play at the Lawson Community Center. Refreshments provided. Admission is free; donations are welcome. For more information, call 816-628-0279.

MONDAY, JANUARY 23

TUESDAY, JANUARY 24
Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Hardin-Central After Prom Committee will be hosting a fundraising spaghetti dinner during the Hardin-Central vs. Norborne basketball games.  Serving starts at 4:30 and continues throughout the games, the cost is $5.

At 7 p.m., the Fourth Tuesday Grief Support Group will meet at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Dr., in Richmond. anyone dealing with issues of loss and grief is welcome to attend. For more information, call 816-470-5002, or 816-776-2659.

Meeting times for Richmond AA and Al-Anon are:  Mondays noon and 8 p.m., Tuesdays noon and 8 p.m., Wednesdays at noon, Thursdays at noon, Fridays noon and 8 p.m. (open meetings), Saturdays noon and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m. Open meetings include the first and third Fridays and a 6 p.m. Sunday Big Book Study. Al-Anon meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Both groups meet at 304 W. Franklin, Richmond.
