The Park Department, Richmond Missouri, is seeking qualified bidders and bid proposals for design and construction of a parking lot located near the city swimming pool. Presently there is an existing parking lot, but the Park Department wishes to upgrade and significantly increase the size of this lot. The existing lot has several soft spots and is considerably broken up. Compaction tests will be required before construction paving. Drainage issues and curbing will also have to be addressed in the design and construction of this parking lot. The attached overhead view and line schematic is a rough approximation of the layout. We estimate there is a total of 56,277 square feet to be paved.
We are seeking bids for design to include design cost proposals, and estimated construction costs. We also will entertain design/build bids from qualified bidders. Specific questions should be referred to: Terry Dickey, Richmond Parks Superintendent, 816-726-1679; site visits are encouraged. Bid proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. November, 10, 2011 and should be submitted to: Southview Park Proposals, Tonya Willim, City Clerk, 205 Summit Street, Richmond, MO 64085. Twillim@cityofrichmondmo.org.;
Proposals may be hand-delivered, mailed, or delivered via courier service to the address above. Bids will be opened at that time.
The City of Richmond reserves the right to waive any and all irregularities and to reject any and all bids if such actions are deemed to be in the best interests of the City.
