Orrick rally comes up short

Crest Ridge hit 9 of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off visiting Orrick 62-56 in an I-70 Conference meeting at Centerview.
The Bearcats spent most of the third quarter trying to erase a 10-point deficit. By the end of the third period, Orrick trailed by a bucket.
Both teams exchanged leads throughout the final 8 minutes, with Crest Ridge’s free throw shooting pushing the Cougars over the top as the home team outscored the Bearcats 20-16.
Orrick, already short-handed with Aaron Blyth out due to illness, lost two more starters in the fourth quarter as Ty Griffin and Cameron McGlothlin fouled out.
